Derek Ramstrom is now a PASS North Series winner.
Ramstrom won the rain-delayed All-Star 200 at All-Star Speedway in Epping, N.H., on Wednesday night for his 1st career victory. Mike Rowe and Ben Rowe finished second and third, respectively.
Ramstrom, just 16 years old and about to be a junior in high school, charged from fifth place in the final 50 laps to win.
The race had been rained out on June 28, and Sprint Cup drivers Kyle Busch and Regan Smith – who had qualified for the race – did not return.
Ramstrom apparently was en route to win No. 1 at Thompson International Speedway earlier this month before he bounced off the outside retaining wall following contact with then-leader Rick Martin while challenging for the win on a green-white-checker restart.
The teenager apparently learned his lesson, coming out on the plus-side of contact with Kelly Moore late to win on Wednesday.
Johnny Clark, who won Saturday’s race at Groveton, N.H., and Travis Benjamin rounded out the top-5.
