The 36th annual TD Banknorth 250 at Oxford Plains Speedway will be held on July 19, 2009.
The announcement came on Tuesday, the same day that NASCAR released its schedules for all three of its national touring series. For the sixth straight year, the Oxford 250 will be held on an off-weekend for the Sprint Cup Series.
"We are excited once again about the opportunities that weekend will create for our fans and competitors," Oxford Plains owner Bill Ryan said. "We look forward to another great race with another huge field of cars."
Sprint Cup driver Kevin Harvick won this year’s edition of the ‘250,’ and he pocketed more than $37,000 in doing so.
Harvick became the first active Cup driver to win the event. Previously, Matt Kenseth came closest by finishing 3rd in 2003.
