SCARBOROUGH, Maine – Joey Doiron of Berwick, Maine, took home his first career NASCAR Whelen All-American Series win by taking the checkered flag in the 40-lap Pro Series feature event at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway on Saturday July 30. Doiron started third and led every lap to claim his first victory since winning in the track's Sport Series in 2007. With only one caution period slowing the field on Lap 6, Doiron was able to pull away from the rest of the field and take the win by a full straightaway over Aaron Ricker for the first career Super Late Model win for the 2009 ACT Late Model Tour and 2010 PASS North Series Rookie of the Year.

JOEY, THIS HAS TO FEEL PRETTY GOOD.
“It's pretty awesome. I never thought (a win) would ever come in one of these cars. We have been really close quite a few times in PASS but haven't been able to put together fast, fast cars. I never thought the stars would align.”
DID YOUR EXPERIENCE AT BEECH RIDGE PLAY A FACTOR?
“We've been here three or four times and can't even compete usually with the Pro Series. This is the first time we've actually been competitive. To come away with the win is pretty awesome.
“That's what we came here for.”
